Job summary

Tyson Foods in Wilkesboro, NC is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for 2nd shift. You will perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.

The role requires 6 months of maintenance experience with a single employer in the past year or equivalent training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to follow safety procedures and CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• 6 months of maintenance experience with a single employer in the past 12 months or equivalent school training.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• MVR record check post-offer and before position.
• Must work 2nd shift and understand labels/read recipes/follow instructions.
• Must comply with OSHA/USDA food safety and Tyson policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations.
• Complete corrective and emergency maintenance work as assigned.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS and follow work orders.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Coordinate maintenance with Production and Sanitation for schedules and safety.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized condition.
