Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for our plant in Wilkesboro, NC. The role focuses on preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable operations in a fresh food environment.

The successful candidate will perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and document activities in the CMMS. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work 2nd shift are required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of maintenance experience with a single employer within the past 12 months or equivalent school training.
• Valid State Driver's License is required.
• MVR record check will occur post-offer before moving to the position.
• Ability to read labels, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly.
• Complete corrective and emergency maintenance work as assigned.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Coordinate with Production and Sanitation to schedule maintenance around operations.
• Follow OSHA, USDA, and Tyson safety policies and procedures.
