Job summary

ThermoSafe in Portland, IN seeks an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment and systems. You will support the Maintenance Excellence Process with proactive maintenance, root cause analysis, and improvements to minimize unplanned downtime.

The role requires multi-craft skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, with a 2nd shift and overtime as needed. Strong safety practices and CMMS documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics including PLC logic.
• Willingness to work second shift and overtime as needed.
• Commitment to safety and 5S housekeeping practices.
• Strong documentation and CMMS entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and reduce risks in daily work.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Install and service AC/DC drives, motors, and PLCs.
• Diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and reduce repeats.
• Perform root cause analysis and support maintenance improvements.
• Communicate with operations to flag abnormal equipment conditions.
• Document activities in CMMS for asset history.
• Keep area organized and maintain 5S standards.
