Job summary

Great Oaks in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Quality Team Lead to guide the Quality team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee QA Inspectors, drive quality decisions, and coordinate with production leadership to meet quality goals.

In this role you will train inspectors on inspection methods, manage dispositions, and support Kaizen improvements while maintaining 4S standards and accurate quality records in PLEX.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; able to prepare data analysis and presentations.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Train and support QA Inspectors on quality judgment, inspection methods, and defect identification.
• Monitor QA Inspector activities and assign tasks based on priority.
• Support inspectors in meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate quality records.
• Manage and disposition Yellow and Red bin parts according to procedures.
• Perform and oversee rework after proper training.
• Update quality status, including Hold and Scrap, in PLEX.
• Perform in-process inspections and document results in PLEX or required records.
• Identify and report quality abnormalities, trends, new defects, damaged gauges, and excessive rejects.
• Provide quality training and guidance to Supervisors, Team Leaders, and production personnel.
• Support the Quality Supervisor and perform QA Inspector duties when needed.
• Maintain 4S standards and support Kaizen improvements within the production area.
• Complete required quality evaluation testing and other duties as assigned.
