Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Quality Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Kennesaw, GA to lead QA technicians and ensure food safety and quality across production lines. The role requires GMP/SQF/HACCP familiarity, strong communication, and a track record of leadership in a manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Operations and FSQA teams, drive continuous improvement, and support audits while managing daily QA activities and product releases.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Maintains clean, safe work areas.
• Adheres to GMP and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QA Technicians and coach the QA team.
• Provide guidance on quality and food safety to Operations and QA teams.
• Coordinate with FSQA techs on production schedule and QA issues.
• Maintain inventory of QC/lab supplies and coordinate training from suppliers or new equipment purchased.
• Review daily operational paperwork and QA records.
• Support internal and third-party audits and participate in inspections; analyze results and deficiencies.
• Assist with formula changes and product issue resolution.
• Oversee hold, trace, and recall activities; summarize Hold reports.
• Perform daily product reviews and customer complaint reviews.
• Assure product releases are properly executed.
