Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a QA Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Kennesaw, GA to oversee daily production floor activities related to quality, ensure SQF, HACCP and GMP compliance, and drive continual food-safety and quality improvements.

The role provides leadership to QA Technicians and cross-functional teams, supports internal and third-party audits, and partners with Operations to maintain product integrity and hold/recall processes while promoting best practices on the line.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of QA Technicians, and coach, train, and support the QA team to support business growth.
• Provides guidance regarding quality and food safety issues to Operations and QA teams.
• Communicates daily with FSQA Techs regarding production schedule and QA issues.
• Maintenance of QC/lab supplies inventory and coordination of training.
• Reviews and organizes operational paperwork daily.
• Supports audits and inspections and analyzes results.
• Assists with product changes and issues.
• Contributes to hold, trace, and recall activities and summarizes reports.
• Assists in the absence of the QA Manager.
• Performs duties under GMPs, policies and procedures.
• Supports reduction of foreign object contamination.
• Oversees product releases.
• Maintains professional conduct on the shop floor.
• Performs daily product reviews and customer complaint reviews.
