Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a 2nd Shift Psychiatric Care Technician at Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Danville, VA. The role focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities within a structured mental health facility, documenting in an electronic health record, and ensuring safety and therapeutic engagement.

You will support patients through interventions, monitor clinical status, and respond to crises under hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills for EHR documentation.
• Valid driver's license required and must remain valid.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Physical and mental ability to participate in patient treatment and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living to achieve therapeutic goals.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' medical and psychiatric status.
• Provide intervention for behavior problems and crisis situations.
• Promote patients' awareness and coping skills.
• Work second shift with 12-hour and 8-hour components; occasional holidays/weekends.
