Job summary

Danville State Hospital is seeking a Psychiatric Aide to assist individuals with daily living, support their comfort and safety, and work with a nursing team to provide respectful care. You’ll help with personal care, monitoring, mobility, and participation in programs in a 40-hour, second-shift schedule.

Aide Trainee program completion or relevant experience is required, with PA nursing assistant certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Aide Trainee program or six months of care experience.
• PA Nursing Assistant certification or eligible.
• Ability to meet PA residency and perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Individual Care Support: assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Health Monitoring: record vital signs and report concerns.
• Mobility Assistance: help with movement and escort to activities.
• Emergency Response: provide basic first aid per procedures.
• Program Participation: supervise leisure and nursing activities.
• Living Space Maintenance: keep living areas clean and safe.
