Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Production Team Lead for the 2nd shift. The role oversees daily production, drives continuous improvement, and coordinates with planning to meet customer commitments. The team lead will train new employees and ensure safety, quality, and efficient operation within a 2:30pm–11:00pm shift.

The position emphasizes problem solving, process optimization, and strong interpersonal communication to keep production on schedule and within quality targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analyses for quality defects and corrective actions.
• Coordinate resources, parts, and materials with production planning and material handling to meet customer commitments.
• Direct associates, monitor production boards hourly, and rebalance workloads to achieve quality and output targets.
• Represent work centers in daily production meetings and elevate issues affecting quality, output, or delivery.
• Provide Purchasing with daily updates to support customer demand.
• Coach the team on Kanban, continuous flow, standardized work, and workload balancing.
• Train new employees and maintain production-training records.
• Promote environmental, health, and safety requirements while helping management resolve key issues.
