Job summary

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor at our Turners Falls, MA facility. You will oversee shift operations, coordinate activities, ensure safety, and maintain production schedules to meet quality standards.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong problem-solving skills. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and basic math skills required.
• The ideal candidate will have 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Be a team player, enjoy detailed work and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control the manufacturing activities for an assigned shift. Monitor operations and ensure established procedures are being followed.
• Ensure quality and productivity standards are met and maintained.
• Ensure established production schedules are followed and adjust schedules as required.
• Respond to technical and/or operational problems; troubleshoot situation and direct solution in consultation with others.
• Prepare required reports for rejected material, root cause, corrective actions and disposition.
• Maintain building, property and personnel security; monitor and ensure proper security of windows and doors; respond to emergencies and conduct investigations.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure work areas are clean and orderly.
• Monitor employee activities, ensure location adherence, evaluate performance and handle disciplinary issues as needed.
