Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising shift activities, reading drawings, managing performance reviews, and ensuring meeting production goals. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a production team.
• Hands-on leader in fast-paced, evolving settings.
• Strong background in continuous improvement and applying lean concepts.
• Navigate personalities, drive accountability, and promote open communication.
• Supervisory experience with coaching and motivating a diverse group.
• May require reading/interpretation of blueprints and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 5 years of related experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities during the 2nd shift, ensuring goals are met safely.
• Train, cross-train, coach and develop the team to succeed.
• Support continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Back up team leads and communicate department goals to all members.
• Resolve employee issues and escalate to managers as needed.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, work orders and specs to determine processes.
• Conduct performance reviews for the 2nd shift production team.
