Job summary

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, in Turners Falls, MA, seeks a 3rd shift Braid Machine Operator to support wire braiding and processing operations. The role includes measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire in preparation for shipping or the next operation, with target training provided from day one.

Responsibilities include mounting bobbins, monitoring gauge data, maintaining inventory, and using the computer system to track materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate braid machine and measure/inspect wire per orders.
• Mount bobbins on braider carriers and manage ends.
• Monitor gauges and maintain proper tension during braiding.
• Keep materials organized and return unused stock to inventory.
• Follow safety rules and maintain clean work area.
• Perform minor maintenance and adjust machine speeds.
