Job summary

The Lindgren Group is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN. You will lead an established production team on the 2nd shift, manage schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity on the shop floor.

Qualifications include prior supervision in a manufacturing setting, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work directly on the shop floor while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising employees in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, staffing, training, and employee performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, production documentation, and applicable specifications.
• Experience monitoring productivity, quality, and operational performance.
• Ability to address performance problems and enforce standards consistently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to meet schedules, quality requirements, and customer delivery commitments.
• Monitor workflow, production rates, and equipment utilization.
• Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action.
• Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production priorities.
• Communicate production status, delays, and concerns to management.
• Direct, coach, train, and develop production employees.
• Establish clear performance expectations and consistently hold employees accountable.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, and adherence to Company procedures.
• Document performance concerns and work with HR on employee-related matters.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a productive work environment.
• Ensure employees follow work instructions and customer specifications.
• Verify production documentation is accurate and complete.
• Identify process problems and work with Quality Assurance to resolve them.
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enforce workplace safety requirements and proper PPE use.
