Job summary

Phillips Manufacturing in UMATILLA, FL is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead and direct plant personnel, ensuring safe, efficient production and adherence to quality standards. The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires hands-on supervision of the production team.

You will coordinate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to meet production schedules, train staff, monitor metrics, and implement cost-saving improvements while promoting teamwork and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, prioritizing, monitoring progress and solving issues.
• Monitor production quality; work with QA and engineering to meet quality expectations.
• Lead and develop the team; manage hiring, coaching, discipline, and promotions.
• Train employees on equipment operations and safety procedures.
• Supervise plant personnel to maintain an efficient, productive and safe environment.
• Coordinate with line operators to adjust machines as needed.
• Review production reports and generate necessary documentation.
• Seek cost-saving opportunities by improving productivity and reducing waste.
