Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the production lines and staff, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of supervisory experience and be capable of managing a workforce of 50-200 people. This role involves both the hands-on management of production processes and the business side responsibilities, such as managing labor and production variances, scrap rates, and throughput. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required. Manufacturing experience in beverage or dairy is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of 50-200 employees on both first and second shifts, ensuring a high level of productivity and team performance.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production lines, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Monitor and manage throughput, ensuring production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Analyze labor variances, production costs, and scrap rates, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented across the production team to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure the team complies with all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Manage staffing levels effectively, including scheduling shifts, overseeing team members, and handling any personnel issues that arise.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to team members to foster a positive, high-performance work environment.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Maintain effective communication across departments (quality, maintenance, HR) to ensure smooth production processes.


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven experience overseeing 50-200 employees in a high-volume production setting.
  • Technical degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of production metrics such as throughput, scrap rates, and labor variances.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Flexibility with shifts to meet operational needs.
