Job summary

Sonoco West Chester, OH is seeking a Packer/Production Worker/Laborer for the 2nd shift (2:45pm-11pm). Pay rate is $24.37 per hour with a $0.75 second shift differential, reflecting the importance of this role within our production teams.

You will collaborate with plant departments to complete basic manufacturing, pack products, operate machinery, monitor quality and assist with setup of new production jobs.

Qualifications

• You have prior manufacturing experience or training.
• Read and comprehend standard work instructions, math and measuring.
• Arrive to work on time with a strong attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments and plant teams to complete basic manufacturing.
• Pack product into boxes, retrieve product from equipment and operate machinery.
• Make incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured products.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to setup new production jobs.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Assists other departments as needed.
