Job summary

Sonoco is hiring a Material Handler for our West Chester, Ohio facility. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and precise operation of heavy machinery and material handling on the 2nd shift (2:45pm-11:00pm).

The pay is $28.04 per hour with a $0.75 shift differential for the 2nd shift, located in West Chester, OH. We’re seeking candidates with prior experience handling raw materials in manufacturing and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery and materials handling safely and accurately.
• Strap pallets and prepare documentation from the floor.
• Move strips and finished goods to support production flow.
• Inspect materials and ensure flute/caliper and sizes match purchase orders.
• Lead and mentor subordinates where needed.
• Perform tasks as assigned by supervision.
