Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Production Operator for our Walker, MI facility. You will load components into automated assembly, record production, and ensure quality according to check sheets and work instructions.

The role requires standing for long periods, reading and following instructions, and teamwork to meet production goals. 2nd shift, Mon–Fri, with occasional overtime to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret operator instructions and check sheets.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours, perform duties safely.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and logging.

Responsibilities

• Load component parts into automated assembly per work instructions.
• Record production data and inspect parts for quality to align with check sheets.
• Document issues with parts or machinery and escalate when needed.
• Cross-train on different work centers and support audits.
