Job summary

Lear Corporation in Roscommon, MI, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift at the Roscommon Plant. The role focuses on optimizing manpower, scheduling, and compliance with quality systems.

You will oversee hourly staff, enforce policies, train subordinates, and ensure safe, orderly production with timely output. Experience in metal stamping or automotive settings is a plus, along with teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field and/or three years of automotive experience.
• Knowledge of metal stamping, welding, JIT assembly and labor relations would be a plus.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Oversee hourly production personnel, communicate company policies and procedures, monitor housekeeping standards, TS 16949 and ISO14001 compliance and ensure quality objectives are met.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure manpower is at optimum levels, including vacation scheduling, and adjust schedule as necessary in case of material or people shortages.
• Ensure that parts produced are correct and labeled properly, meeting all quality standards.
• Provide current, up-to-date schedule to operators.
• Maintain production records, and supply time and attendance records to HR.
• Lead and participate in 8D problem solving meetings.
• Follow systems for TS16949 and ISO14001.
