Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Production Shift Manager (2nd Shift) based in Pembroke, NC. You will lead the 2nd shift, report to the Plant Manager, and work with production supervisors to maximize efficiency while aiming for zero accidents, zero defects, and zero unplanned downtime.

You will drive continuous development of our people and ensure safety, quality, and productivity across the value chain through coaching, data-driven decisions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership in manufacturing or related industry.
• Experience in manufacturing leadership with process-oriented operations.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and/or Six Sigma training/certifications is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and develop first-level supervisors and department staff.
• Ensure safety program compliance and foster an engaged safety culture.
• Lead a diverse, high-performing team to meet goals and build capability.
• Translate plant goals to all levels and ensure data-driven alignment.
• Identify and mitigate production schedule risks to minimize impact.
• Define and implement actions to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Achieve KPIs and drive improvements for on-time delivery and reliability.
• Promote cross-training and development of staff.
• Assess supervisor performance and provide feedback.
• Leverage continuous improvement tools to remove losses and optimize processes.
