Job summary

Dover Food Retail is hiring a Manager, Production - 2nd Shift in Conyers, GA. This leadership role oversees 5 Production Supervisors and about 260 workers, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and efficient manufacturing across multiple zones.

Responsibilities include labor optimization, cross-functional alignment with supply chain and planning, and driving KPI improvement like efficiency and yield while leading OpEx and Kaizen initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent leadership experience.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing large teams (200+ headcount) with supervision.
• Deep understanding of labor efficiency, capacity planning and line-balancing.
• Strong Lean background (Lean/Six Sigma/TPS) and problem solving.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle/Plex) and MES; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture with regular floor walks and JSA audits.
• Own daily/weekly schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics on bottlenecks.
• Directly manage 5 Production Supervisors and ~260 team members.
• Co-lead OpEx with Kaizen, standard work, and stop-and-fix practices.
