Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead production/processing supervisors across departments on a single shift. The role focuses on cost-effective, on-time manufacture of quality products and ensuring production continuity.

This position requires willingness to work 2nd shift and will involve managing schedules, materials, and equipment to meet standards. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience, 3-5 years of supervisory training, and knowledge of USDA regulations,

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years directly related experience.
• 3-5 years supervisory training preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations; strong diplomacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet standards, control costs, and provide data on products.
• Establishes short-term activities for production continuity such as shift schedules and material requisition.
• Coordinates with plant functions to support output, productivity, and quality.
• Selects, trains, and motivates labor force to meet schedules with optimum productivity and cost.
• Suggests improvements in production flow or methods.

Education

High School Diploma (GED)

Bachelor’s degree in related field
