Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a production supervisor to direct multiple departments on a single shift, ensuring cost-effective, on-time manufacture of quality products. Must be willing to work night shift.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, 3–5 years supervisory training, and knowledge of USDA regulations. Strong diplomacy and communication skills are essential for coordinating with plant functions and leading a skilled workforce.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet standards, control budget, and provide data on products produced.
• Establishes short-term activities such as shift schedules, material requisition, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates with other plant functions to support output, productivity and quality.
• Selects, trains, and motivates production labor to meet schedules at optimal productivity and cost.
• Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
• Ensures effective use of operating methods and procedures to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Counsels supervisors on job performance and departmental efficiencies.
• Recommends modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality.
