Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Superintendent to direct the production and processing supervisors across multiple departments on a single shift, ensuring cost-effective, on-time manufacture of quality products.

The role requires strong leadership, a minimum of 2 years in a related role, and knowledge of USDA regulations. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Benefits include health coverage after 60 days and a company-supported retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet standards and control costs.
• Establishes short-term activities for production continuity and scheduling.
• Coordinates with other plant functions to attain output, productivity, and quality.
• Selects, trains, and motivates production labor for optimal productivity and cost.
• Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
• Ensures effective operating methods to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Counsels supervisors on performance and departmental efficiencies.
• Recommends machine/equipment modifications to improve production.
