Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Omaha, NE seeks a Superintendent to lead the 2nd shift production team, driving yields, safety, and quality across the plant.

You will guide Production Supervisors, implement policies, and push continuous improvement to meet daily targets while adapting to changing production needs. A relocation package is available for qualified candidates and a strong mentoring culture is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading and training staff, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff.
• Experience using time-keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiency & profitability by monitoring yields, efficiencies and profitability.
• Champion safety & ergonomics through training programs and safe-work practices.
• Ensure quality & compliance with USDA and company regulations.
• Lead training & continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance on the production floor to motivate and align teams.
