Job summary

Plug Power, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd Shift to direct the workflow of the manufacturing team and ensure timely, high-quality assembly processes.

You will coach team members, adapt to fast-paced production needs, and uphold safety and integrity standards while collaborating with cross-functional partners. The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and a proactive approach to improve quality and throughput in a technology-driven manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience; preferably within a technology product manufacturing facility.
• Previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere.
• Superior interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign team tasks and lead daily production efforts to meet manufacturing deliverables.
• Maintain knowledge of Plug Power products and assembly protocol; provide training and communication to team members.
• Establish goals for the team and improve production metrics (quality and throughput).
• Coordinate with Production Manager and Cell Leaders on expectations to ensure performance.
• Set a tone for work quality and accountability; address quality issues to improve metrics.
• Cross-train team members in assembly processes to increase job satisfaction and depth of talent.
• Develop assembly procedures with Manufacturing Engineering and train employees accordingly.
• Build cross-functional relationships to resolve issues and achieve mutual goals.
• Lead 5S efforts and set the vision for the team.
• Assist production scheduler to control materials usage and schedule conformance.
• Analyze data and prepare reports as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and OSHA guidelines; support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
