Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Rochester, NY. This exempt, salaried role leads the manufacturing team to ensure timely assembly with the highest quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Manufacturing experience in a technology product facility.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to coach and develop team.

Responsibilities

• Assign team tasks and lead daily production efforts to meet manufacturing deliverables.
• Assist with assembly and manufacturing tasks to meet schedules.
• Maintain knowledge of Plug Power products and assembly protocol.
• Provide ongoing training and communication to team members.
• Establish goals and drive improvements in quality and throughput.
• Coordinate with Production Manager and Cell Leaders on expectations.
• Lead 5S and uphold work quality standards across the team.
• Work with the production scheduler to control materials usage and inventory accuracy.
• Analyze data and prepare reports as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and enforce safe work habits.
• Assist in performance management and recognition activities.
