Job summary

Myers Emergency Power Systems, Bethlehem, PA, seeks a Supervisor for 2nd shift Production to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead shift teams. This role ensures production goals, quality and safety standards are met while developing staff.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in technical leadership in assembly and wiring, a technical degree, and experience with ERP systems. Strong safety and OSHA knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 yrs technical training / experience (i.e. trade school, military, or other employment in electronics field)
• 3-5 years as a technical lead in assembly and wiring
• Skilled at using Microsoft Suite and manufacturing ERP systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations for 2nd shift and lead the team
• Coordinate production schedules and prioritize work to meet customer and business requirements with Planning
• Investigate and resolve production delays, equipment issues, and process disruptions
• Offer technical expertise to develop and coach employees to maximize performance and engagement
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate production targets, safety updates, and operational priorities
• Train new employees and ensure compliance with established work procedures
• Inform the Manager of attendance, performance and employee relations issues per policies
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards and environmental requirements
• Conduct safety inspections and incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Encourage employee participation in safety programs and continuous improvement
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and customer requirements
• Monitor quality metrics and address non-conformances with quality teams
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve processes
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operating costs
