Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead for the 2nd shift in a plastics extrusion environment. You will lead the production team, monitor inventory, and ensure daily targets are met while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, interpretation of drawings and reports, and collaborating with maintenance and quality to drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; advanced education is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic extrusion or related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate computers, small hand tools, precision measuring devices, and standard office equipment.
• Knowledge of accounting methods and cost control procedures.
• Strong reading, writing, math skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of inventory accuracy and scheduling for each job.
• Oversee quality control per company standards and control plans.
• Manage and review production direct labor, ensuring efficiency and schedules.
• Coordinate shift activities to meet production targets and maintain safety.
• Work with technical drawings, reports, and work instructions to support quality and efficiency.
