Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions in Ames, IA, is seeking a Process Technician for the 2nd shift to manage the assembly process from setup through testing in our on-site environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment, supporting the assembly cell, and driving process improvements on the shop floor. A technical AA or equivalent is required, with some related experience and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• AA degree or technical school equivalent required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with quality/problem solving tools such as PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 8D
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics and use diagnostic equipment
• Safety-conscious with PPE adherence
• Customer service mindset and calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment used in the assembly process
• Provide line support for the assembly cell and escalate issues to the cell expert
• Troubleshoot daily issues and implement repeatable solutions using SOPs and training
• Assist in implementing process changes and problem-solving on the shop floor
• Assist in验证new processes and changes by collecting data and observing process
• Help design and implement manufacturing controls such as Poka-Yokes
• Lead or assist on tactical implementation projects
