Modine is seeking a Laser Cutter Operator for the 2nd shift to set up and run laser cutting machines, ensuring precise cuts and strict adherence to safety protocols at the Natural Bridge facility in Virginia. The role requires prior experience with laser systems, familiarity with manufacturing environments, and any relevant certifications.

Starting pay is $25.18/hour, with a $1.00 shift differential and potential raise after nine months.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment.
• Familiar with manufacturing environments and safety practices.
• Relevant technical certification or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up laser cutting machines, including aligning and adjusting laser settings.
• Operate laser systems to cut and shape materials according to provided blueprints or specifications.
• Conduct quality checks after operations to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including wearing protective gear and ensuring the work environment is safe.
• Document and report all machine operations, including downtime, output, and any technical issues.
