Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Ergo Tech Grinding Operator for the second shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). You will operate and set up precision grinding tools and inspect parts using blueprints to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of eight years' manufacturing experience
• Familiar with a variety of manufacturing processes
• Must meet Production Tech III experience and background requirements
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
• US work authorization; ITAR considerations
• Experience with measuring tools and reading blueprints

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts
• Study blueprints and engineering data to determine methods and sequences
• Measure, examine and test completed units for defects
• Fabricate, install and maintain facility machinery
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
• Adhere to EH&S, quality, and continuous improvement policies
• Secure equipment when not in use and maintain a clean work area
