Job summary

Ocean Spray Cranberries is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance professionals on a 6PM-6AM shift. You’ll direct daily activities, ensure safe and efficient plant operations, and support budget planning for maintenance and capital projects.

You have a BS/BA in relevant engineering or equivalent experience and 3+ years in manufacturing supervision. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering or related major or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing operations.
• Strong ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment or independently.
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Good facilitation/training skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and facilitate the daily activities of a team of skilled employees to ensure maintenance is completed safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
• Assist in development of maintenance budget, monitor plant spending, and report on operating costs within functional areas.
• Advise management on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training and grievances.
• Work with Human Resources to hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively and take corrective action as needed.
• Work with EHS to ensure environmental compliance activities are met.
• Influence all staff to report food safety issues to initiate immediate corrective actions.
