Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is hiring a Painter I to prepare surfaces for priming and painting of truck parts. You will use hand and power tools to prep, repair, and clean panels while maintaining safety and a clean work area.

Openings exist on multiple shifts; the role includes ergonomic lifting, following specifications from truck prints, and participating in training on hazardous waste handling. Competitive pay and a benefits program are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive painting and/or metal finishing.
• Two years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Auto Body repair or related area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces of truck parts and panels for priming and painting.
• Operate hand and power tools to prep, repair and clean parts.
• Caulk, sand, buff parts and panels as directed.
• Paint and prime truck parts and panels as directed.
• Read truck prints and sign off job tasks.
• Participate in onboarding and EPA hazardous waste training.
