Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Painter to apply paints and coatings to trucks using electrostatic/air assist guns. You will work across the paint process and ensure quality with attention to safety and 6S standards.

The Painter will join a team with shift options (2nd shift common) and will participate in onboarding and ongoing training, with strong emphasis on accuracy, cleanliness, and meeting finish specifications while supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• Proficient at reading checklists, paint codes, safety logs and JSA’s.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge in every step of the paint process.
• Knowledge in fine line painting.
• Ability to cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes.
• Flush tanks, hoses and guns prior to color changeovers.
• Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity and consistency.
• Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as needed.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, adjust and reassemble painting equipment, such as pumps, paint heaters, tanks, spray guns, etc.
• Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.
