Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Painter I to prepare, prime and paint truck parts and panels. You will use hand and power tools, caulk and sand, and ensure a clean, safe work environment while mentoring new hires.

The role includes onboarding training and hazardous waste handling per EPA RCRA rules, with opportunities for career growth. Most positions are on 2nd shift, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive painting and/or metal finishing.
• Ability to read and follow truck prints and guidelines.
• Willingness to participate in safety training and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Prep truck parts and panels for priming and painting with hand and power tools.
• Caulk, sand, and buff parts to achieve smooth finishes.
• Inspect parts, repair defects, and maintain clean work areas.
• Paint and prime truck parts per directions and standards.
• Follow safety instructions and read truck prints for tasks.
• Participate in onboarding and hazardous waste training as required.
