Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Painter I to prepare, prime, and paint truck parts and panels. You will use hand and power tools, perform prep work, and maintain a clean, safe work area while mentoring newer hires.

You will participate in onboarding and hazardous waste training, with open second-shift opportunities. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a path for growth within a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive painting and/or metal finishing.
• Two years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Auto Body repair or related area.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to prep truck parts and panels for the painting process.
• Caulk, hand sand, DA sand and buff parts and panels.
• Inspect and repair defects in parts and panels as needed.
• Paint and prime truck parts and panels as directed.
• Understand parts, equipment, and tools used for the paint prepping process.
• Move parts using racks and carts and hang panels for painting.
• Lift parts and equipment as required.
• Transport parts to and from work areas for preparation.
• Follow instructions to maintain a safe work environment and complete tasks.
• Communicate with coworkers to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Sweep and clean work area and equipment.
• Participate in onboarding and EPA hazardous waste training per required timelines.
