Job summary

Calise Bakery is seeking a 2nd Shift Packaging Line Leader to guide a team on the packaging line, ensure adherence to safety, quality, and GMP standards, and drive improvements in efficiency and waste reduction. The role includes training staff on safety, quality, and food safety practices and coordinating with maintenance and shift managers.

The successful candidate will oversee line operations, monitor changeovers, and contribute to daily and weekly plant meetings to evaluate performance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months' experience in the food industry.
• Experience with packaging equipment or as a machine operator.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; attention to detail.
• Experience with HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs; audits such as GMP, BRC or SQF and AIB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign all employees to work stations.
• Coach, counsel and train packaging line personnel.
• Facilitate cross-training packaging line personnel.
• Oversee and coordinate packaging line operations to ensure food safety compliance.
