Job summary

Calise & Sons Bakery, Inc. in Lincoln, RI seeks a Shift Supervisor Packaging to lead the 2nd shift in the Packaging Department within a manufacturing environment.

You will oversee packaging operations, coordinate shift activities, and ensure safety and quality standards are met to support production goals and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in food manufacturing/packaging with supervisory experience, knowledge of packaging machinery, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• 3+ years in food manufacturing/packaging, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of packaging bagger machinery and production processes.
• Ability to manage 3 lines of 24 employees with multiple change-overs and metal detectors.
• Monitor sorter set-up and quality inspections.
• Monitor logs and documentation for accuracy.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Regular schedule 4:00pm–1:00am with Sundays and Tuesdays off.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily packaging operations during shifts to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate packaging team members to maintain high performance and safety adherence.
• Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate with maintenance to address issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and QA procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and cross-department communication.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate with procurement.
• Attend Employee and Safety meetings and conduct pre-shift huddles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
