Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Crane Operator/Loader for our South Carolina facility. This role supports shipping, receiving and warehouse operations on the 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.), with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include operating overhead cranes and forklifts, loading and unloading shipments, ensuring accurate paperwork, and maintaining safety and quality standards. DOT regulations awareness is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overhead crane operation experience.
• Valid overhead crane certification required.
• High School diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical exam (vision, hearing, mobility).
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Crane and forklift operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Product knowledge: Understand products, color coding, customer specs and read measuring devices.
• Shipping and Receiving: Unload inbound stock and load outbound shipments, complete paperwork.
• Loading procedures: Safely load trucks with correct chaining and tarping.
• Additional duties: Support warehouse operations as assigned.
