Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a 2nd Shift Overhead Crane Operator-Loader (Transportation) to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts, load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, and support shipping and receiving processes. Reports to the Operations Manager and works in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of overhead crane experience, a valid crane certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a reliable work history.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution setting.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training/experience.
• Knowledge of DOT load regulations and safety procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to load/unload inventory.
• Read and interpret measuring devices and customer specifications.
• Unload inbound stock and load outbound shipments with proper paperwork.
• Load trucks with correct chaining and tarping procedures.
• Perform other duties to support warehouse operations.
