RTX in Andover, MA seeks a 2nd shift Operations Quality Engineer to strengthen the Sensors Operations Quality organization. Onsite role with 2nd shift hours 1:00pm–10:30pm and an 8% shift differential.

The role emphasizes using APQP methods (PFMEA, control plans, SPC), root-cause analysis, and cross-functional teamwork to improve process capability and product quality. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years related engineering experience.
• Manufacturing process experience (assembly, inspection, test).
• Experience with root cause and corrective actions; ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.

Mansioni

• Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY); forecast top drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Lead containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions with Defect Prevention teams.
• Perform process walks and operator observations to reduce process variation.
• Drive APQP initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC) using baseline metrics and forecast.
• Identify supplier escapes and coordinate with Supplier Quality Management for containment.
• Verify and validate improvements to measure effectiveness.
