Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr Engineer, Quality Engineer to provide engineering support and ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements at the Forest, MS facility. This onsite role focuses on leading quality functions for Advanced Radar Systems and driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis and CORE initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and 5 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience with DCMA, USN, and USG.
• Experience with AS 9100/ISO9001 quality management systems or equivalent.
• Previous work experience engaging with cross-functional stakeholders in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality functions with the Advanced Radar Systems within Forest Ms
• Lead and/or participate in Root Cause analysis and CORE initiatives
• Manage Quality specific metrics
• Be a Leader among your peers as for Quality knowledge and processes
• Actively pursue methods and process to improve overall Quality of our product
• At times will lead both the Box and Pod manufacturing areas
