Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. in Laceys Spring, Alabama is seeking a night-shift haul truck operator to support quarry production by moving overburden and shot rock, and assisting with crushing as needed.

This 2nd shift (3:00 PM–12:00 AM) role requires daily pre/post inspections, safety practices, teamwork, and outdoor work with loud equipment. Starting wage is $26.00/hr plus a $3.00 night shift differential, with overtime available and a competitive benefits package including medical, retirement and paid

Qualifications

• Safety-focused approach to all tasks.
• Experience operating rigid frame and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• Ability to perform general labor and plant cleanup as needed.
• Must work outdoors in all weather and tolerate loud noises.
• Team player with willingness to overtime and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material.
• Move shot rock to the crusher and support crushing as needed.
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with proper documentation.
• Maintain and service equipment as directed by management.
• Communicate effectively with team and management.
• Operate equipment safely and with proficiency.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA/environmental regulations for safe procedures.

Job Details

• Starting wage of $26.00/hr + $3.00 night shift differential
• 2 nd Shift (3:00PM-12:00AM)
• Weekend work may be required
• Overtime available along with medical and retirement benefits

Job Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.
• Operate haul trucks to move shot rock the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process, as needed.
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Qualifications

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
