Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. in Alabama is seeking a 2nd Shift Off-Road Haul Truck Driver at the Lacey’s Spring Quarry. The position requires operating articulated and/or rigid haul trucks with a strong emphasis on safety.

The starting wage is $26.00 per hour plus a $3.00 night shift differential, with a 3:00 PM–12:00 AM schedule, and overtime may be available. Weekend work may be required, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material.
• Move shot rock from the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process as needed.
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with proper documentation.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained by management.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisors.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency and proficiency.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA/environmental regulations.

Rogers Group is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Off-RoadHaul Truck Driver based out of the Lacey’s Spring Quarry in Lacey’s Spring, AL. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Job Details:

• Starting wage of $26.00/hr + $3.00 night shift differential
• 2nd Shift (3:00PM-12:00AM)
• Weekend work may be required
• Overtime available along with medical and retirement benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.
• Operate haul trucks to move shot rock the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process, as needed.
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Qualifications:

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
