Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, seeks an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver for our VA SMA operations in Staunton, VA. The successful candidate will operate articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Wages start at $21.00 per hour; higher based on experience. This full‑time role may require weekends, day shifts, and overtime, with extensive medical and retirement benefits. Valid CDL and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Previous experience operating rigid or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• General labor and cleanup duties as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and tolerate loud noises.
• Team-oriented and willing to assist coworkers or supervisors.
• Willingness to work overtime/extended hours.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Provide valid I-9 documentation.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.
• Move shot rock from pit to crusher and begin crushing process as needed.
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with documentation.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained by management.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisors.
• Operate equipment with competency, skill, and safety.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Off-Road Haul Truck Driver

Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill a position as an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver for our VA SMA operations in Staunton, VA. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Job Details

• Wages starting at $21.00/hr.


• Starting wages may be higher based on verifiable experience

Job Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.


• Operate haul trucks to move shot rock the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process, as needed.


• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.


• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.


• Effective communication skills applicable to position.


• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.


• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Job Qualifications

• Dedication to safe work practices.


• Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.


• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.


• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.


• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.


• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.


• Pass pre-employment drug screen.


• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.


• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Driver’s License required
