Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is hiring a 2nd Shift Multicoiler Operator in Wheeling, IL to safely operate the Multicoil in finishing. You will align orders with WFS priorities and ensure on-time production in a fully on-site setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience in heavy metals or manufacturing, and the ability to meet throughput and quality goals while using calipers and micrometers. Join a team focused on safety, reliability, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in heavy metals or similar manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to maintain production schedule and meet throughput, yield, and scrap goals.
• Ability to monitor material quality (flatness, gauge, hardness, surface finish, edge condition).
• Identify coils and samples; ensure proper identification.

Responsibilities

• Work safely as part of a team and follow OSHA regulations.
• Review orders in the WFS system and locate material.
• Set up pallet on end platform and stage coils for processing.
• Safely operate vacuum lifting system to move coils.
• Weld ends of coils to form a continuous run.
• Transport coil using vacuum plate to end platform and prepare for next job.
