Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Strapping Line Operator for the 2nd shift to operate the strapping line safely and efficiently on-site. The role requires following Wieland Factory Suite (WFS) priorities and completing orders accurately.

Responsibilities include crane and forklift operations, data entry into the WFS system, quality checks, and maintaining 5S/6S standards. A high school diploma and English communication skills are required; prior heavy metals experience is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in heavy metals or similar manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as part of a team with safety as the priority.
• Perform routine housekeeping and inspections of the work area.
• Review orders in the WFS system and log data into maintenance systems.
• Operate the strapping line and crane to move and package coils.
• Ensure correct coil parameters and labeling; monitor quality and scrap.
