Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead day-to-day materials, logistics, and inventory control in an automotive stamping environment. The role ensures uninterrupted material flow to production and on-time shipping while maintaining accurate records and compliance with packaging and labeling requirements.

You will partner with Production, Stamping Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet safety, delivery, and cost goals, while driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 3–5 years of materials/logistics experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with shipping/receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse supervision.
• Knowledge of Lean material flow concepts (Kanban, PFEP, milk runs) and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily materials operations across receiving, put-away, supermarket, line-side delivery, shipping, and finished goods staging across multiple shifts.
• Execute the production schedule in collaboration with Master Scheduling/Production Control; ensure materials availability and correct sequencing for stamping presses.
• Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, root-cause analysis of variances, reconciliation, and continuous improvement of material flow.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific shipping requirements and on-time delivery performance.
• Maintain and improve material replenishment systems (Kanban, milk runs, PFEP) to reduce shortages and excess inventory.
