Job summary

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC) in Lake Orion, Michigan, is seeking a hands-on Materials Supervisor to lead daily inventory and material movement in a high-volume warehouse environment supporting General Motors operations.

You will supervise hourly staff, coordinate inbound/outbound material flow, and drive cycle counts to ensure accuracy and on-time production. Collaboration with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Customer teams is essential to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, materials management, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, sequencing, and material handling processes.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing or automotive operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily material handling, inventory control, and warehouse operations
• Ensure materials are available and delivered to support customer production schedules
• Lead a team of hourly associates responsible for receiving, storage, sequencing, picking, packing, and material movement
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process compliance
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and material flow issues
• Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement to meet customer requirements
• Track operational KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety
• Develop work schedules and support daily labor planning activities
• Provide employee coaching, training, performance management, and accountability
• Communicate operational updates, concerns, and production impacts to management
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service
• Maintain accurate reporting and inventory documentation
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Customer teams to support overall facility performance
